Good Morning! It is time for my weekly favorites. This time, I write these favorites literaly in the morning. It is now 7:09 and is you want to know why on earth I decided to wake up this early you have to read past the break.
Shea Butter
Last week my skin started to itch again, like I had an allergy for something. It started on my legs and later on my back and arms started to itch as well. I had no idea why my body was reacting like this. As far as I knew I wasn’t doing anything different then before. I started avoiding my long, warm showers and everything containing cowmilk, but these changes didn’t seem to help. Something that at least felt nice to my skin, was keeping it hydrated with pure shea butter. Shea Butter is still my biggest friend when talking skincare. This always seems to be the ingredient that does the magic on my skin. Now, the itchiness is gone. I think it was another allergic reaction to a different kind of detergent.
Miracle Morning
After my stay in Finland, I made a couple of resolutions. Reading more books was one of them and until now I am sticking very well to this resolution. It is starting to get a quite expensive hobby already. Luckily, I think books are worth it all. One of the books I recently read, is miracle morning by Hal Elrod. I heard so many positive stories about this book, that I just had to read it and I didn’t get disappointed. This is also the reason that I am writing this blogpost at 7 a.m. the things described in this book were actually nothing new to me. However, they suited my “after Finland” resolutions so well that I just have to give this new way of living a chance.
Bullet Journal
I am still extremely happy with my Bullet Journal. I am exploring more and more options since I started my journal in October last year. Every month I dare to create more sets and I am experimenting more and more. I love all the options this system gives you and how I can keep track of everything. I really never have to worry about forgetting anything anymore. I really love the Bullet Journal and above all, I still have so many blogposts to write about the it!
Listening to Books
The main subject of this weekly favorites seems to be: Books. Not a real problem, since I happen to love books. Another discovery of mine this week is the Storytel app. This app contains thousands of audio books. Normally I don’t really like listening to books. They make me fall asleep and reading them myself gives me more space for interpretation and fantasy. I also read much faster then when someone has to pronounce every word in the book. Despite these factors that make me choose “real” books over audio books, I really enjoyed the Storytel app. The app just contains a lot nice titels and with one touch you can adjust the speed in which the book is read. Also now I can enjoy reading book while driving my car for example. I started my 30 day trial with the Rosie Effect, the sequel to the rosie project I read earlier.
Fresh Hyacints
They already appeard in every picture in this blogpost, fresh hyacints. My whole apartment smells like fresh flowers and spring. There is no need for scented candles now and they look cute as well. These things make me very happy.
Have you found any surprisingly good apps last week?
Echt heel erg lief, dankjewel!
