The first week of January. On the very last day of the year, it is time to plan for the new year and the new month in my Bullet Journal. After using my Bullet Journal for three months now, I wanted to take you with me and show you how I set up my Bullet Journal for the new month.
I start with my monthly overview, where I write down all the days of the month and my most important appointments and happenings of the month. On the page next to my monthly overview I make space for my blog statistics. However, I fill this only in in the end of the month. I also make space to write down all the collaborations I will write for my blog this month, including their price and an open bullet point which I can color in when the bill gets paid. In this way, I’ll have a clear overview of which bills are paid and which ones aren’t. Beneath these, I leave some space for my monthly goals. These can be simple like cleaning out the bedroom, but can also be something larger like reaching a certain amount of visitors on my blog, or learn a new skill.
The next step in my Bullet Journal setup is to make a monthly tracker. While I studied in Finland that last couple of months, I really became aware of the things that make me happy in a day. The things that will make my day instantly a little bit better. When writing these things in a tracker, together with the things I want to give some extra attention to in this month, I tend to do these things more often, leading to a more happy me. Apart from that, it is also just a lot of fun to color in these little boxes every day.
On the page next to my tracker, I make space for my monthly gratefulness list. I already wrote another blogpost about this spread and how it could help to improve your life.
After these spreads I start with my daily pages, where I write down my to-do list for the next day. On the photo you can see the last daily pages I made for 2015. In January I haven’t made any daily lists until now.
How do you set up your Bullet Journal for the coming month? Are there any special spreads you make every month, like my tracker and gratefulness list?
P.S After getting some questions about it: I make my spreads with these, they have some ghosting, but no bleed trough on the pages of my journal.
